An American teenager who detransitioned has given powerful testimony of her experience with gender dysphoria outside the White House.

Sadly, it makes for grim reading.

Over the past decade there has been as high as a four thousand percent increase in children being referred to so-called gender clinics across the United States.

I was one of these children.

My name is Chloe Cole and I'm an 18 year old former transgender child. I transitioned from the age of 12 up until 16 when I realised all was a lie. My story is a cautionary tale. Children and parents across the country have been caught off guard by gender ideology.

Discussions about gender transgenderism and gender identity went  from being a relatively benign social oddity to a doctrine that has invaded nearly every academic medical and educational institution seemingly overnight.

I believe Americans deserve to know the truth about this radical and perverse ideology marketed as necessary and life-saving health care. 

I was only 12 years old when I told my parents that I was a boy. Like many parents in that situation they didn't have a clue what to do. They were scared and desperate for answers.

They wanted what every parent wants for their child.  For me to be okay and thrive at 13 years old. 

On the advice of so-called medical professionals I was put on puberty blocking medication and only a month later I was given my first testosterone injection.

The gender clinic presented my parents with the classic false dichotomy regarding children with gender dysphoria: would you rather have a dead daughter or a living son? 

Given these options what loving parent wouldn't choose to transition their child?

Scared for my life my parents were prepared to sign anything the doctors asked.  This was not informed consent it was a decision forced under extreme duress. 

At 15, I went under the knife for a radical double mastectomy - the kind that breast cancer patients get.

This was after I was sexually assaulted at school by a male student.

I just told myself to man up but I lived my life in constant hatred of my breasts.

I started binding which deformed my breasts as well as my rib cage.

I was afraid and I couldn't wait to finally protect my body from the threat of further molestation.

At 16, I finally realised what happened to me that I had made a huge mistake. I realised the beauty of motherhood was stolen from me by medical professionals who my family entrusted me to.

No child deserves to suffer under the knife of a gender-affirming surgeon.

America's children - all children - deserve better. 

And so do Australian children. Please send a quick message to the PM and the Health Minister calling for an end to harmful gender treatments.

No modern global figure has defined our shared history in a more profoundly positive way than Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

In a world of change, tumult and uncertainty, Her Majesty the Queen was a constant, a bedrock of stability, certainty courage and calm, and a continuous reference point of hope, encouragement, and Christian grace.

In her Christmas message in 1952 she asked the Commonwealth, “Pray for me … that I may faithfully serve [God] and you, all the days of my life.”

She proclaimed before Christmas in 2014, “We remember that God sent His only son ‘to serve, not to be served’. He restored love and service to the centre of our lives in the person of Jesus Christ.”

This year, in a message to an Anglican conference in London, she said, “Throughout my life, the message and teachings of Christ have been my guide, and in them I find hope.”

Seven decades of exemplary service, an oath undertaken and an oath delivered, with unwavering commitment. For millions, not only within the realms of the Commonwealth, but extending across the globe, the sense of sadness and grief is very real and profound.

It appears that the Queen practised what she preached about following Jesus. Perhaps, that is why millions are grieving her loss, mourning a lady of exemplary grace and merciful kindness.

She shared the Christian gospel at Christmas 2011 in simple terms, saying that history teaches us that “we need saving from ourselves—from our recklessness or our greed”.

“God sent into the world a unique Person... a Saviour, with the power to forgive,” she said. All of the staff at FamilyVoice say ‘amen’ to that message.
