The Albanese Government is seeking to restrict the ability of faith-based schools to hire staff in accordance with their religious ethos.
This is a fundamental violation of the freedom of religion and there’s a reason religious schools were exempt from this law to begin with.
Religious schools should be free to hire staff that support their religion and values the same way that political parties are free to hire people of the same political beliefs.
This is also a violation of the rights of parents to have their children educated in line with their own religious convictions.
When parents choose a faith-based school for their children it’s because they expect their children to be educated in a community where staff adhere to or support the faith traditions of that school.
Please tell Peter Dutton and Michaelia Cash to oppose Anthony Albanese’s crackdown on faith-based schools.
