NSW & ACT Director

Graeme Mitchell - NSW/ACT Director

Graeme studied forestry at the Australian National University and, after graduation, he worked in forestry and natural resource management in NSW for more than 40 years. During that time he undertook formal theological studies part-time, graduating with a Master of Divinity degree from Christ College Sydney (Presbyterian) in 2009 and, later, a Master of Arts (Theology). He and his wife Anne lived in regional NSW for 10 years before relocating to Sydney. They have raised four children and now are blessed with eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Graeme has served as an Elder in a Presbyterian church in Sydney for more than 30 years and also as a Director for 19 years at Tyndale Christian School where his children and later many of his grandchildren were educated. From 2011 he served as Family Voice State Officer NSW & ACT for more than 3.5 years and currently serves on a committee that operates Hope House, a Christian crisis pregnancy support service at Prestons.

Graeme is an experienced preacher and public speaker who has long had an interest in the relevance of the Bible to government and to society more broadly. His over-arching passion has been and remains to labour for the advance of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ, our only Lord and Saviour.

The Lord said to me, “You are my Son; today I have begotten you. Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage, and the ends of the earth your possession.
Psalm 2: 7b-8
