Urge PM Scott Morrison to protect the ACT's School Chaplaincy Program

The ACT Government has announced it is axing the highly successful Federally-funded Schools Chaplaincy Program in government schools.

There are 22 school chaplains working across the ACT.  They are funded at no cost to the ACT government.

This is part of a concerted secular effort to drive faith from the public square.

It is critical that we take a stand against this appalling attack on the program.

Here at FamilyVoice we urge you to sign our Petition to the Prime Minister to encourage him to ensure the ACT keeps the program:

Dear Prime Minister,

I am deeply concerned that the Chaplaincy Program will be axed in the Australian Capital Territory.  If it is scrapped in the ACT, it could be scrapped everywhere.

There is no groundswell of concern among parents to remove the program.  On the contrary, all over Australia mums and dads greatly value school chaplaincy. I am grateful that your Government has generously funded this important initiative which I want to see continued.

In the same way that you recently stepped up to protect the Anzac Day Dawn Service in France, I urge you to defend the Chaplaincy Program.

Yours sincerely,
