We have had a win. Immigration Minister Alex Hawke has warned councils against refusing to hold Australia Day celebrations.

We asked you to take action when professional services firm KPMG, who used to be called an “Accounting Firm”, told its 9,000 employees they can work on Australia Day and take another day off. KPMG were using this as an opportunity to divide our great country. Many of our supporters did just that.

It is great to see that the government has responded and has put out a strong call to keep Australia Day and celebrate our nations great achievements.
